Franklin Wayne Peake

March 18, 1937 - April 10, 2017

Franklin Wayne Peake, age 80, passed away on Monday April 10, 2017. He was born in Newberry, Mich., on March 18, 1937, and then moved to Warren, Mich., as a child. Frank served in the Army for several years and was overseas in the intelligence area. He moved to Sterling Heights in 1966 and spent the next 30 years in the Metro Detroit area working in the asphalt paving business. In 1982, he and his wife Pamela, opened Action Traffic Maintenance out of their home. They have built the business over the years into a thriving corporation that has become an industry leader. He remained involved in the business until his passing. He was a passionate baseball and hockey fan and enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs. Frank was a contributor to the local police and fire departments. He gave many hours of service to helping the community and to the Charlton Heston Academy in St. Helen.

Frank is survived by his wife Pamela of Saint Helen; children, Timothy (Mary), Laura (Billy) Bagley, Thomas (Barbara), Kelly Peake and Neil (Lisa); brother Robert; sisters Joann Kiesznowski and Ilene Zalewski; 13 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his son, Jason; wife, Joyce; mother, Louise Sartor; father, Michael Fredrick Peake; step-father, Clarence Sartor; sister, Lucille, and brothers, Gerald and Fred.

Visitation was held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen on April 13, and the funeral service was held at the funeral home on April 14. Pastor Ken Peterson officiated. Interment followed the service at Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen.
